At an occasionally tense meeting that garnered passionate responses on Thursday, the Allegheny County Jail Oversight Board heard from multiple community stakeholders regarding the continual issues plaguing the Allegheny County Jail (ACJ). Inmate deaths, Inadequate access to healthcare, staff shortages, the continual avoidance of accountability and other longstanding problems prompted B-PEP's Tim Stevens to publicly advocate for changes.
