"This is what can happen which enough Black, brown, LGBTQ plus and young people don't VOTE in EACH and EVERY Election." -Tim Stevens, B-PEP Chairman and CEO
In a shocking reversal of decades of precedent and progress, The Supreme Court on Thursday ended Affirmative Action, forbidding colleges and universities from considering race as a factor in student admissions decisions in the future.
Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson read a powerful dissent from the bench noting how this disastrous decision “rolls back decades of precedent and momentous progress.”
In a brief statement, The Black Political Empowerment Project's Tim Stevens minced no words: "This is what can happen which enough Black, brown, LGBTQ plus and young people don't VOTE in EACH and EVERY Election. The President who won on Nov. 8, 2016 and chose very conservative judges won the election college by ONLY 77,471 electoral college votes, from Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania! NEVER SAY YOUR VOTE DOES NOT COUNT!!!"
